China yesterday launched the official bilingual website for APEC China 2026, unveiling the core digital platform that will serve as the authoritative information hub for roughly 300 meetings and events during its host year.

The website, www.apec2026.cn, went live as the first plenary session of the 2026 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Senior Officials’ Meeting was held in Guangzhou yesterday, marking China’s first formal event since assuming the APEC host role.

Organizers said the platform will function as the central source of information for the yearlong agenda leading up to the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in November, which will be held in Shenzhen.

Centered on the 2026 theme, “Building an Asia-Pacific Community to Prosper Together,” the website highlights three priority areas: openness, innovation and cooperation. It is designed as a transparent and globally accessible digital gateway, providing professional bilingual services in Chinese and English.

  Hub for meetings and documents

The site features key sections including “Meetings,” “Documents” and “Latest Events,” and will publish real-time updates on schedules, official notices, press releases and outcome documents, organizers said.

Dedicated “Registration” and “Media Center” sections provide logistical guidance for participants. Journalists can access press materials and meeting information, while delegates can complete registration and accreditation procedures through the platform. A multimedia gallery offering high-quality photos and videos will support coverage by global media and others following APEC developments.

  Spotlight on host cities

The website also includes a dedicated section introducing Chinese cities hosting APEC-related meetings. Shenzhen, which will host the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in November, is highlighted for its emphasis on innovation.

Other host cities featured include Guangzhou, Shanghai, Dalian, Suzhou, Chengdu, Macao, Hangzhou, Beijing, Nanjing and Hong Kong. The platform presents the cities and development achievements in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area through videos and written materials.

Organizers said the launch of the website signals that China’s core digital infrastructure for its APEC host year is fully in place, as preparations advance toward the November leaders’ meeting.

APEC is the Asia-Pacific region’s highest-level and broadest economic cooperation forum. In the coming months, meetings across various sectors are expected to focus on trade and investment, the digital economy, green development and connectivity.
